ATMOSPHERIC UNDERWATER BREATHING DEVICE
Context: Today, there are divers engaged in underwater diving activities in seas, lakes, and oceans. Various pieces of equipment are required for these dives. The objective of the project is to extend the time spent underwater by enabling the diver to breathe underwater not by drawing in water through a facepiece, but by drawing in the air present within the water. The project utilizes ultrasonic vibrations to create tiny algal-like structures, enabling the diver wearing the mask to move freely in the ocean without any oxygen tank by inhaling air molecules from the seawater through the respiratory tract, and thereby extending the time the diver can spend underwater.
For example, by using diffusers that release microalgae into the mouthpiece of a SCUBA unit, the vibration of the water causes air molecules to be transferred into the SCUBA channels, thereby creating an environment where the diver can breathe without the need for any diving equipment or a tank. In this way, a living space can be created for both amateur and professional divers—as an excellent alternative to scuba diving—where they can breathe underwater for as long as they wish.
Required equipment: a watertight SCUBA mask with attached water drainage channels, and diffusers connected to the mask that use sonic vibrations to push water away rather than suck it in, while simultaneously drawing in the air from within the water.
